We send our residents to state of the art institutions for their trauma rotations to gain experience in running trauma codes and performing advanced procedures. They can either choose to go to DMC Sinai Grace (just down the road from Macomb), which bolsters one of the highest penetrating trauma rates in the country. Or they can go to the world renowned R. Adams Crowley Shock Trauma Center, constantly innovating the future of trauma. Shock Trauma features more than fifteen resuscitation bays dedicated to trauma and has a large catchment area, seeing traumatic injuries from all across the DMV.
