During this 4-week rotation, students will function as sub-interns and work one-on-one with senior residents and core faculty. The rotation is clinically focused, and students are free to see and pick up any chart and staff with one of the residents/ faculty.  You will be an integral member of the team, providing valuable history taking, a broad differential, and a concise plan and will also be assisting with procedures such as suturing, incision and drainage, ultrasound guided diagnostic exam and peripheral IV access, central venous catheter placement, endotracheal intubation, and more.

You will be directly given feedback on your work. We are an easy going, no judgement group of people who are passionate about teaching. Your hard work, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn will take you a long way! Our goal is to provide you with the most realistic opportunity of being an emergency medicine resident in a busy community hospital and you will find our volume and acuity will provide a multitude of opportunities to enhance your emergency skills such as emergency stabilization, multi-tasking, team work, and much more.

Students are expected to attend weekly didactics every Wednesday.  SLOES are available upon request.
